Advocating for Quality Health for Minority Groups in Ghana

Using Journalism to create awareness for equality and rights for the less privileged,
HIV/AIDS patients and LGBT group in all communities in Ghana.

My Vision for this Advocacy

I envision to personally advocate and create awareness to ensure equality for the less privileged, LGBT group and HIV/AIDS patients in the communities in Ghana. Imagine how religiously motivated discrimination against LGBT people and the less privileged can inflict real harm and why state endorsement of this discrimination is dangerous. From August 2017 to January 2018, researchers interviewed 112 LGBT people, sexual service providers, and advocates, primarily in Africa that have enacted religious exemptions in recent years, about the discrimination that LGBT people have faced because of an absence of comprehensive nondiscrimination legislation and the passage of legislation that provides for exemptions based on religious or moral beliefs.
